[ Nor her. To say it's frustrating is an understatement. She understands, of course, that Olympia cannot simply trust her as an outsider into it's intelligence operations or even anything beyond routine procedure. She joined the Guard knowing she'd have to work her way up — do good work and keep her head down (for the most part; or at least, only when someone's looking). She's not seeking to sabotage this empire, she has no reason to, but if she's working for it then she wants answers beyond the vague. Peggy has been known to bend the rules in order to do what she deemed was right, she's not unused to operating in shades of grey, but being in the dark entirely is not her speed. She dislikes the disadvantage.
At least she can speak frankly with John. ]
If they're looking to strike again, leaving the city as vulnerable as possible would be the logical course of action. Any new developments? Has the outbreak been contained?
No. It's nearly impossible to contain: the government won't call for quarantine. We're doing hat we can with the people who come in but it's spreading easily between those who don't
Doesn't help that the conditions in the residential district are less than stellar.
[ Bloody hell. ]
I suppose they think a quarantine would incite panic. Or a curfew, if it gets much worse. Unless there's someone in government that stands to gain something from letting this run its course.
Whyever it is, this thing isn't slowing down. The Sanctuary's all but overrun, they're relying on volunteers just to give their staff time to sleep. However long this lasts, it's going to be hard.
[ and he doesn't just mean difficult. he means the sort of hard that civilians shouldn't have to struggle through. ]
Well, I never did know what to do with "easy." But that's just me.
[ She remembers when they had drinks at the Outpost, all those weeks ago. Commiserating over having a holiday and not knowing what to do with it. Careful what you wish for. ]
We need 30+ hands at the Sanctuary. But no, you've got a skillset we need out there. If things get desperate I'll call you in, but we're doing alright.
[ under-rested across the board, but it's too early in the game for anyone to be feeling it too badly yet, running on adrenaline. fine for now. ]

Do you need a hand at the Sanctuary?

[ And she does, is the obvious implication. ]
