[ doctors are important. johnny wouldn't be alive today without them, and so dutch is inclined to look after medical personnel more than she is anyone else.

so she shoots a message to the one doctor she's met so far, after her hunt: ]

[ the grin is audible in poe's voice even over the exhaustion pulling at the edges. ] Thanks again for fixing me up.

Oh, hi. Yeah, no problem at all, it's what we do.

[ we being the healers running around that he's learned to acknowledge as a unit at least for tonight: they've been extremely busy, and at least for him it's all in what used to be an average day's work, space pods and superpowers excluded. ]

How's it holding up? I'll be around to give you another check over at some point.

[ unseen, poe shrugs. ] I still appreciate it. Pretty sure everyone does. [ unless they're assholes, in which case they should appreciate it even if they don't. ]

[ already forward planning the people he's seen in desperate need of sustenance and whether, after he's eaten, his gun and its limited ammo are really rabbit-hunting appropriate whoops ]

[ he knows your type, poe dameron, primarily because he himself falls in the same bracket of continuing on far past the point you should've stopped. and don't think he hasn't seen you in passing in the fray tonight. ] Seriously, how is it? I'm trying to work out my rounds, I need to know if you're having any pain or problems.

If you need any help sharing it out, I've been keeping my eye on the people who've worked too hard and rested too little. I'd offer to help with collecting more later but I doubt I'm the best equipped

You can lecture me on heroics when I'm not a trained trauma doctor surrounded by trauma patients. [ there's a limited supply of medical professionals here and he's got a job to do so he'll be having none of that lip thank YOU. ]

An hour? [ there's frustration there, disguised more poorly than usual thanks in no small part to exhaustion. ] Right. Whereabouts are you? I'll bump you up the list.

In very vague theory. I'd ask someone else.
